A Burning Heart by Leonard Ravenhill

Isaiah 64:1-2 “Oh, that you would rend the heavens and come down, that the mountains would tremble before you! As when fire sets twigs ablaze and causes water to boil, come down to make your name known to your enemies and cause the nations to quake before you!”

Ravenhill speaks from several places in Isaiah and about the role of the prophet. But at the same time he shares his burden for a holy Church.

“We are more frightened of holiness than we are of sin”

What Would the Modern Preacher Have Done? By Faith we are Saved.

Video clip of Paul Washing telling a story about how he helped a man
(from near Alaska) find salvation. The key is that by faith we are
saved, not by just repeating a prayer, raising our hand, or joining a
church. You can’t treat salvation like a flu-shot.

John 3:16 “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only
Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal
life.”

1 Corinthians Session 1 – Introduction

Part 1 of a series of Bible studies in 1st Corinthians conducted by Ron Bailey in The Earley Christian Fellowship on the theme of expressing the life of Christ in the local church.

Corinth had wonderful beginnings with apostles, prophets, pastors and teachers. The believers had received spiritual gifts and were equipped to be ‘God’s People’ in that city but things had gone badly wrong. This study will trace the nature and purpose of a local church and the obstacles that stand in the way of its achieving of God’s purpose.
